How long has it taken me to get this post up?! Better late than never...
It was an early start and Angel picked me up at the crack of dawn to head down to Ally Pally. It was my first time there and it's a really pretty building, if a little faded splendour. I didn't really have anything on my list, but ended up spending waaay more than I ever imagined...oh well!

My best buy was the Real Techniques set for about £16. I'm loving the two largest brushes for liquid foundation and blush. I had to stock up on MUFE Smokey Lash for only £10, even better value than US prices, but I'm a little disappointed in the HD Blush in shade 13...the lighting was a bit weird at IMATS and it's just a little too cool-toned and Barbie for me, but I'm sure I can get it to work somehow...
The NYX blush is a dud, really not impressed with the greasy, gel-like texture which doesn't even really work well over liquid foundation. Lovely colour but icky consistency. Bioderma is good, but you do go through a fair amount of it so I won't be paying to ship it from overseas when this bottle runs out. The mini Tweezermans are in no way as sharp as the original version which is annoying. As for the rest of the brushes I picked up, they were all pretty good value so no regrets there.

If you really think about it, not only is it an act of violence, it is also irreverent to compare yourself to others which in a way marginalizes your own beauty and uniqueness. Ironically, I found this concept also works in the reverse as it reminds me not to look at others with such a critical eye and to appreciate the fact that they too are uniquely designed by God.
