'Miracle Skin Perfector'...now guys, this is where it all goes wrong...who are they trying to kid? But if they *must* set themselves up for a fall then they must. I bought this 'BB cream' many moons ago, used it once, thought 'holy hell that is orange...and greasy' and promptly forgot about it. Early mornings and sweaty tubes have pushed me back to it as an alternative to moisturiser and I have softened towards it second time round now that the overblown claims have been forgotten.
While I'll admit most of my issues with this product come from the shade - in what universe is tangerine 'Light'?! - I really can't see that it is any more than a souped up tinted moisturiser. Certainly not a BB cream by the original Asian standards. The coverage is what you'd expect from a tinted moisturiser, as is the longevity. Not a great option for oily skin like mine which likes to be covered just a little bit more, but if you have relatively clear skin which is dry and you want a very natural look, then go for it. I can't say I've noticed it making my skin any more radiant (claims the Vitamin C does the trick) but I don't suffer with dullness - go me!
If curiosity gets the better of you Boots is selling it for £9.99 and always seems to have some sort of Garnier products deal going on. However if you're willing to spend a little more give Clinique's City Block Sheer SPF25 a whirl. Great sun protection, much lighter pale skin friendly shade and not as greasy.
Have you tried this Garnier BB cream? You like?
Yeah it looks too orange! But IMO surprisingly I think it kind of freshened up or is it my screen?
ReplyDeletewhen you say freshened up, if you mean the orange sort of blends away to not too neon, it does a bit - but with this comes less coverage. Just no!
DeleteThis didn't work at all for me - the colour wasn't too bad in the end but it just left me looking so greasy, and probably worse than if I had nothing on my face!
ReplyDeleteyep, fine for half an hour...then you could cook a fried breakfast on your face!
DeleteI quite like this stuff, I like a bit of shine/glowiness as my skin is on the dry side. I use it under my foundation- I just use a touch of foundation over the top. The orange does go! Haha I was like 'eh??' when I first put it on.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind it sparingly under foundation, but I think it just helps it slip off even more easily.
DeleteI really didn't like this. The No.7 BB cream is good :) x

I want to try the No7 one, friend has it and it looks very good.
DeleteI'm completely in love with this! I'm really not one for foundation and so when I found this, it really was what I was after. Definitely doesn't look as orange on me even though I am pretty pale also.

Glad at least someone likes it, poor Garnier!
DeleteI'm wearing this today, although I'm half Asian so I usually buy the medium shade, but I'm using the light shade and it blends in perfectly to my skin. I find it thicker than my Maybelline BB cream and I actually think I like it more!

its very natural nice result...!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this but I had heard some mixed reviews. I do like Clinique's City Block though. x
ReplyDeleteI've tried two shades of this, and while the lighter one matched okay, it was so greasy and the instant I started sweating it moved around in this milky mess :(
ReplyDeletehaha great post! I guess it blends into the skin quite well but the coverage is so minor indeed! on my skin it perks me up just a bit and because I have drier skin, I like how silky and thick the formula is. but so little coverage! :/
